Amedeo Ceccato
Amedeo Ceccato is an Italian energy engineer with a joint Master’s degree in Sustainable Energy Systems from UPC Barcelona and IST Lisbon, completed within the EIT InnoEnergy SELECT programme. He has worked on projects that combine technical analysis and sustainability, from optimizing Renewable Energy Communities in Italy to coordinating solar-powered water kiosks in Kenya. As Head of the Energy Commission at VOYCE, he leads discussions and research on European energy policy and system transformation. He aims to contribute to Europe’s energy transition by bridging technical innovation, renewable integration, and effective policy, promoting an understanding of sustainability not as a burden but as a pathway to economic resilience and long-term social well-being.

Mateo Escobar is an enthusiast of sustainability and renewable energies, passionate about energy communities, rural electrification, and cutting-edge technologies. Mateo has work experience in the energy sector as a Change Manager for Energy Transition and Digital Transformation projects in Colombia, as well as a Design Engineer for solar irrigation optimization in Spain.

Dmitriy Genchev is a Bachelors student at Bocconi University pursuing a degree in Economics and Management. He is passionate about geo-politics and economics, as well as their relationship to the energy security of the European Union. Specifically, he is interested in the future of de-coupling with Russia and securing new energy agreements, as well as public policy remedies to decrease current energy dependencies. Outside his activity within VOYCE, Dmitriy works for the Global Academy for Future Governance and is an analyst for the Bocconi association, Aleph. Additionally, he is the President of the Bocconi Students for Literature and Humanities association, being passionate about promoting cultural engagement. He hopes to contribute to the preservation of an independent and united Europe and the furthering of the European project.
