Stefano Serra is an Italian student at Bocconi, who recently finished the Bachelor in International Economics and Management. He has lived across a number of countries, including Luxembourg, Singapore, and the UK before returning to Italy for his university experience. He will soon begin his Master in Politics and Policy Analysis at Bocconi.

Stefano’s interests lie in regulation and policy formulations in the dynamic technology setting. He is particularly drawn to the EU’s role in shaping them correctly to ensure the Union builds a key role in the ever-growing technology sector. 

Outside of VOYCE, Stefano is passionate about music, being one of the organisers for Bocconi Students Jazz and Classical, one of the only music associations in Bocconi. He also loves to spend his free time cooking for friends and family.

Steffen Timmann is a German doctoral student with a Bachelor in Industrial Engineering from KIT and a Master in Management and Technology from TUM. His current research at the HHL Graduate School of Management focuses on Venture Clienting and Venture Capital, with the goal of improving the value of startup technologies in established corporations.

Steffen is particularly interested in the strategic, regulatory, and societal dimensions of innovative technologies, particularly sustainable technologies, the future of mobility, energy, and renewables. He is also drawn to industrial tech and emerging disruptive technologies such as artificial intelligence and blockchain.

In his personal life, he enjoys doing various sports, with a strong passion for football and calisthenics, and loves diving deep into new and exciting topics.

Katarina Malešev is a Serbian student at Bocconi, currently enrolled in the Bachelor of Science in Economic and Social Sciences (BESS). Her academic work focuses on economic and financial systems, with particular emphasis on macroeconomics and the analytical foundations of financial markets. 

She is especially interested in the domain of financial systems and public policy, including monetary policy, regulatory frameworks, and the role of institutions in shaping market outcomes. 

In parallel with her studies, she contributes to VOYCE as a writer, where she develops analyses on topics of emerging technologies. Her work engages with EU policy frameworks, including the AI Act and digital governance strategies, where she examines their implications for institutional design. 

With a strong interest in European technology policy, she regularly explores how the EU approaches the governance of the tech industry, particularly in areas such as artificial intelligence, digital markets and financial innovation. Her broader focus lies in understanding how regulatory frameworks shape technological development and how Europe positions itself in a rapidly evolving global tech landscape.

Sara Farinella is an Italian BA graduate in International Relations from the University of Milan. During her final year at the University of Geneva, she engaged closely with international affairs and multilateralism, becoming aware of major global issues and sharpening her interest in international political dynamics and the European Union’s role in global governance. In her thesis on hybrid warfare, she explored how technological innovation intersects with security and international affairs, focusing on emerging technologies and critical digital infrastructures as both strategic vulnerabilities and new policy frontiers for the EU. At VOYCE, she examines the political challenges posed by technological development and its impact on international politics. When she's not working or studying, Sara loves to chat and is always up to something. She is constantly exploring new hobbies, meeting people, and discovering the world around her.

Matteo Mio is an Italian student, raised between Italy and Switzerland, currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s in Economics and Politics at the LSE through Forward College’s international program. Passionate about innovation and social progress, he manifests his curiosities through reading, writing and debating, touching on topics such as the startup ecosystem or European technologic industries as well as general public policy and AI regulation.

Through his academic journey, he has studied in Lisbon, is currently based in Paris and is projected to finish his bachelor in Berlin. He is also working in Automations and AI integration consulting as part of a freelancing group and loves to discuss such topics with other professionals and interested individuals at events such as Web Summit, which he has attended in the past two editions and hosted a booth at.

When he is not studying or working, he can be found at the gym or football field, but also at any random jazz bar in Paris. He also enjoys having politically challenging conversations with friends (or strangers) and traveling to countries of which he does not speak the language.

Suriyaa Sundararuban is a German technology professional based in Munich, known for more than a decade of experience in leading Open Source software projects.

Suriyaa has worked for IONITY, where he managed over €100 million from Blackrock for EV charging station infrastructure development. At Infineon Technologies, he contributed to the company's entry into the 5G market and helped navigate the challenges of the US-China trade war. As a Founder’s Associate at Osapiens, he played a key role in alleviating bureaucratic workload for the majority of EU-based companies dealing with supply chain-related sustainability regulations.

Within the VOYCE initiative, Suriyaa focuses on developing policies and conducting research to ensure that regulations in the European Union become more business-friendly, embrace Digital Sovereignty and facilitate the quick adoption of new emerging technologies in software and DeepTech.

Beyond his work at VOYCE, Suriyaa is passionate about sports, engaging regularly in activities ranging from fitness training to both inline and ice skating.
