What We Do
The Immigration Commission is dedicated to producing high-quality analysis and papers focused on specific issues concerning the immigrational environment in the EU. Our activities include:
Lia Bassanini is a French-Italian student passionated about all issues related to human rights, especially migration. She is currently in her last year of a BSc in International Politics and Government at Bocconi University, Milan. She will go on to pursue her studies at the Graduate Institute, Geneva, where she will be focusing on international and development studies, specialising in Human Rights. Her goal is to work in NGOs or IOs focusing on migration-related topics.
In her free time, Lia created and presided BDiverse, an association enhancing diversity and inclusion. She is also a student representative on the Inclusion, Disability and Well-being Committee of Bocconi University.
To further pursue her interests, she worked for 2 months as a member of the legal team of the Italian Council for Refugees, and she is now doing a 6-months research internship at Fondazione Ing. Rodolfo Debenedetti under the supervision of Prof. Tito Boeri, to practice and strengthen her data analysis and policy evaluation skills.
