What We Do
The European Constitutional Drafting Commission is primarily dedicated to researching and comparing the constitutional frameworks of European states to identify common principles among their diverse constitutional traditions.
Our activities include:
- Individual and group research on constitutional law topics to deepen our understanding.
- Developing innovative ideas that can provide a concrete contribution to the drafting of the European Constitution.
- Organising conferences and panel discussions on contemporary issues relevant to our field of study.
- Collaborating with other VOYCE Commissions to gain a broader and more precise perspective on key topics under debate.
- Periodically publishing reports in order to give voice to our results.
The Commission's work will be divided into two closely interconnected and collaborative subgroups:
- The "Rights and Principles" group will focus on establishing the ethical and legal foundations of the European Constitution.
- The "Governance" group will be responsible for designing a new and highly efficient institutional structure.
- The Commission reserves the right to adjust the organisational structure as necessary to effectively respond to evolving needs or emerging opportunities.
